Upon arrival at Dublin airport you will be met by your driver and escorted to a luxury vehicle and privately transferred into Dublin City.  Your driver will conduct a short orientation tour of the city including some of the major sights.  You will see O’Connell Street and the General Post Office which was the location where the Proclamation was read for the first time on Easter Sunday 1916, you will see the Garden of Remembrance, The Custom House and get a feel for this great city.  Accommodation is included for 2 nights at your choice of hotel (please note supplements apply the 5 star) The Shelbourne Hotel:  The Merrion Hotel:  The Westbury Hotel or  The Dylan Hotel. The rest of the day is free for you to rest and relax and enjoy Dublin’s Fair City.

Our driver/guide services:   We provide only the very best of driver/guides (One Person) who will be with you for 8 hours per day with an hour for lunch.  Your driver/guide will provide a wealth of detailed information about Irish history and of course the cities, towns and villages along the route.  Your driver/guide will be full of humour and Craic.  Most importantly your driver/guide is there to make your trip through the Real Ireland as memorable as possible so we will be flexible to allow you to experience and feel the Real Ireland.  Your driver/guide will take you to those real places where you can immerse yourself in the culture, feel the character and meet the characters. 


After your full Irish breakfast this morning, at 9am you will meet an expert local guide in the hotel lobby.  We include a 3-hour walking tour   exploring the city centre.  Your tour will focus on the highlights of the city centre and give an informed and fun perspective of life and history in Ireland’s capital.  The walking tour will end at Trinity College Library where we include entrance fees to see the famous Book of Kells.   In the afternoon, you may choose to visit St Patrick’s Cathedral perhaps Kilmainham Gaol, The Guinness Storehouse, The Dublin Writers Museum or any of the great museums and galleries. The afternoon and evening are free for you to further explore Dublin’s Fair City. 

The Rock of Cashel


After breakfast, you will be collected by your driver/guide in a luxury vehicle.  You will travel south west, first stopping at The Rock of Cashel. The site where St Patrick chose to make the head of his church in Ireland The Rock of Cashel is a spectacular group of medieval buildings set on an outcrop of limestone in the Golden Vale including the 12th century round tower, High Cross and Romanesque Chapel, 13th century Gothic cathedral, 15th century Castle and the restored Hall of the Vicars Choral. After your visit, you will continue to Blarney Castle where you will have the chance to kiss the famous Stone of Eloquence and time to pillage the adjacent woollen mills. Later you will continue to Kinsale.  Where you will check into Perryville House  for an overnight stay.  The evening is free for you to relax and explore Kinsale and try any of the fine restaurants that make Kinsale known as the Gourmet Capital of Ireland.



After breakfast you will meet with your driver/guide and depart Kinsale.  You will travel along the wild and rugged south and west coast, part of Ireland’s famous tourist route the Wild Atlantic Way.  First you can make a stop to view the breath-taking scenery at the Old Head of Kinsale. Today is all about the very best of Irish scenery truly breath-taking panoramas that present a new vista with every mile.  There will be plenty of photo stops. There will be time for lunch in the picturesque village of Kenmare. In the afternoon you will be driven along the most stunning part of the Ring of Kerry, along the lakes and through the national park to the popular town of Killarney.  Here you will check in for 3 nights at The Aghadoe Heights Hotel in a lake side deluxe room. A superb 5 star hotel located with incredible views over Killarney and Lough Leane the largest of the lakes.  The evening is free and you can take the hotel shuttle to town to enjoy Ireland’s most famous tourist town and all of the great pubs and restaurants. 



After breakfast today meet with your driver/guide for a full day tour of the Ring of Kerry. You will travel from Killarney to Killorglin and via Glenbeigh, here we include a sheepdog demonstration with Brendan Farris.  You will continue to see dramatic views over Dingle Bay to Cahirciveen, the birth place of Daniel O’Connell – Ireland’s Great Liberator.  Take a detour to see Valentia Island and the Skellig Ring where you can see stunning coastal views out to the Skellig Island (used in the latest Star Wars film).  There will be time to enjoy an optional lunch in Waterville.  Later continue your journey with some of the most beautiful sights in Ireland, through Sneem and via Molls Gap and along ladies’ view and along the 3 lakes arriving in Killarney in the mid-afternoon. Perhaps visit Muckross House and Gardens or take a short hike to the Torc Waterfall before returning to your hotel.



After breakfast today you will meet your driver/guide for a tour out to Ireland’s most westerly point. The day tour to the Dingle Peninsula is a journey that takes in the wild and rugged beauty of the Slea head Drive.  The peninsula is littered with Archaeological remains and secluded sandy beaches, here you can walk on one of them and feel the splendid isolation that the Neolithic settlers must have felt in 4,000 BC when they made the area their home.  Dingle Town is one of Ireland’s quickly disappearing Gaeltacht regions where Irish is the first language and one can almost sense the difference here.  An optional seafood lunch can be enjoyed in any of the towns’ superb restaurants.  Later you will travel over the Conor Pass one of Ireland most dramatic journeys across the peaks to Tralee and then back to Killarney. This evening we include an Irish night with Dinner at Kate Kearney’s cottage (subject to schedule). 



We suggest an early start today at 8.30.  This morning you will travel north via the pretty town of Adare where there will be time to stop and take a stroll.  Later you will travel northwest to The Cliffs of Moher – a sheer precipice that stretches for 5 miles along another part of the Wild Atlantic Way. The Cliffs of Moher rise to a height of 668 feet above the Atlantic and is one of the most impressive coastlines in Ireland. In nesting season the cliffs are home to a variety of seabirds. Entrances to the Cliffs of Moher Visitors Centre is included. In the afternoon, there will be time to see the Burren Region a remarkable landscape of Limestone and littered with Neolithic sites dating back 6,000 years.  There will be time for an optional lunch in The Burren National Park and afterwards it’s a scenic drive along The Wild Atlantic Way via Galway to Cong in Co. Mayo. Here we include 2 nights at the stunning 5 star Ashford Castle Hotel.


After breakfast meet with your driver guide for a scenic drive into the west.  You will travel through the glistening Lakelands of Connemara with the 12 bens.  You will see The Roundstone Boglands and the village of Clifden and travel up the Sky Road with stunning views of the Wild Atlantic Way.  We include entrance to Kylemore Abbey in the afternoon travel back to Ashford Castle for an evening at your leisure.

After breakfast today you will meet with your driver guide for an incredible experience of Ireland’s Language, its Culture & Heritage and its people, with fine food and whiskey. You will travel north to the traditional Irish town of Swinford and on to Hennigan’s Heritage Farm. A centre that we regard to be the most important cultural visit in Ireland.  Upon arrival at Hennigan’s you will be met by Tom Hennigan, for a private tour of the smallholding that has been his family’s home for 200 years.  Tom is not only a poet and a historian but also a Seanchaí, Seanchaí is the old Gaelic word for Custodian of Traditions.  We include a farmhouse lunch at Hennigan’s and afterwards you will travel north via Sligo where there will be time to stop to see the grave site of W.B Yeats and later travel into Donegal where we include a 2-night stay at the 5 star Solis Lough Eske Castle.



After your breakfast in the castle today you will meet with your driver/guide for a full day adventure to explore this remarkable region in depth.  You will depart your hotel this morning and travel via the town of Killybegs which is Ireland’s premier fishing port.  The journey takes you along some of the most stunning coastal scenery in Ireland, along Donegal Bay, one of the most scenic routes of the Wild Atlantic Way, via Kilcar to Europe’s highest sea cliffs, Slieve League with stunning views that must be seen.  There will also be time to walk and enjoy the sights from the top. Afterwards you will travel to the small village of Glencolmcille.  This part of Donegal is a Gaeltacht (Irish speaking area) Irish is the first language.  In the afternoon, you will travel via the traditional town of Ardara.  We also include a stop to see a hand weaving demonstration and in the mid-afternoon, it’s onto a Real Irish Pub for an optional pint of the black stuff (or maybe a dram of Bushmills) perhaps along with a selection of locally caught seafood. In late afternoon, return to your hotel where the remainder of the evening is free to relax and enjoy the castle.



After breakfast today meet your driver/guide and travel to the city of Derry where  we include a walking tour on the intact City Walls   Later you will travel to Belfast. Your driver/guide will conduct an in-depth tour of this remarkable and proud city. The tour will include the architecture and social history of Belfast, including the political districts, where you will see the murals of both the loyalist and republican communities and hear both sides of what was a complicated and difficult history.  There will be time to stop for lunch in the city before an included visit to the state of the art Titanic visitor centre where you can learn all about the construction of the world’s most famous ship. In the evening you will check in for a 2 night stay at the centrally located 5 star Merchant Hotel. 


After your full Irish breakfast today, you will meet with your driver/guide and travel through the stunning the stunning Glens of Antrim.  Stunning scenery abounds in this region and you can see some sites associated with the award-winning show Game of Thrones.  We include entrances to the Giants Causeway.  Your driver/guide will tell you the legend of how it was formed and you will also hear another version of its foundation – you can decide which to believe.  You can stroll along the coastline to view this remarkable landscape that has been regarded as the 8th wonder of the world.  You will also see the town of Bushmills and the world’s oldest legal distillery and have the chance to sample a wee dram (optional) You can also see the dramatic Ruins of Dunluce Castle. In the afternoon travel, back to Belfast for an evening at your leisure.



After breakfast today meet with your driver guide and depart Belfast.  We include entrance to The Brun a Boinne Visitor centre and a guided tour of Newgrange.  Ireland’s ‘1 most historical site Newgrange is a 5,200 year old passage tomb located in the Boyne Valley. Newgrange was built by Stone Age farmers, the mound is 85 meters (93 yards) in diameter and 13.5 meters (15 yards) high, an area of about 1 acre.  A passage measuring 19 meters (21 yards) leads into a chamber with 3 alcoves. The passage and chamber are aligned with the rising sun at the Winter Solstice. Your visit here will include entrance into the tomb and to see a recreation of this event and try to imagine what it must have felt like for the Neolithic people to witness that first sun rise.  Later you will travel to Dublin and check in for your final overnight stay at the Shelbourne Hotel or similar and the balance of the day and evening are free for you to relax and enjoy the city. 



Today we include a private departure transfer to Dublin airport for your return flight to the USA.
