We include round trips transfers from the hotel.

After your full Irish breakfast today, you will meet with your driver/guide and depart Dublin and head north to the city of Belfast where on arrival your driver/guide will conduct an in-depth tour of this remarkable and proud city. The tour will include the architecture and social history of Belfast, including the political districts, where you will see the murals of both the loyalist and republican communities and hear both sides of what was a complicated and difficult history. There will be time to stop for lunch in the city before an included visit to the state of the art Titanic visitor centre where you can learn all about the construction of the world’s most famous ship. Later you will travel along the picturesque causeway coastal route and via the stunning Glens of Antrim to the town of Bushmills where we include 2 nights accommodation at the superb Bushmills Inn Hotel in a mill house deluxe room. This is a remarkable property, and one that we are sure that you will fall in love with.

After breakfast this morning you will meet your driver/guide and travel the short distance to the Giants Causeway.  Your driver/guide will tell you the legend of how it was formed and you will also hear another version of its foundation – you can decide which to believe.  Entrance fees to the visitor centre and audio handsets are included, you can stroll along the coastline to view this remarkable landscape that has been regarded as the 8th wonder of the world.  Later there will be some free time for an optional lunch and afterwards you will enjoy more coastal scenery including the ruins of Dunluce Castle and sites made famous as the filming of the award winning show Game of Thrones.  We also include a visit to the Carrick a Rede Rope Bridge nearby.  In the late afternoon you will return to the town of Bushmills where we include a VIP tour of the famous Bushmills Distillery. The World’s oldest legal distillery.  After a wee dram it’s a short walk back to your hotel for a free evening.

After breakfast today you will check out of your hotel and meet your driver/guide and travel further along the wonderful north coast, The Wild Atlantic Way to the City of Derry. Known as the Maiden City with its intact city walls. The intact city walls provide a wonderful vantage point around the entire city, here we include an award winning private walking tour established by the late Martin McCrossan. The Walk will narrate the incredible 400 year history of this great city. There will be some free time to look around Derry and enjoy an optional lunch. In the afternoon you will travel into county Donegal, what we often refer to as God’s county. Donegal is held to have a character all of its own and your driver/guide will take you to experience some of the most remarkable views of the Wild Atlantic Way. In the evening you will arrive at the award winning 5 star Solis Lough Eske Castle where you will check in for 2 nights in a deluxe king bedded room. Solis Lough Eske Castle is located on a secluded lakeside estate just outside Donegal Town. It has a rich history dating back to the 1400s being associated with the O’Donnell Clan, the founding fathers of Donegal, a county in the north-west region of Ireland. This is the only Irish hotel to claim a World Luxury Hotel Award and has been awarded the ‘World’s Best Luxury Country Hotel’ title for the past FIVE consecutive years. Recent awards include being named as one of Condé Nast’s top three luxury hotels in Ireland, Trip Advisor Traveller’s Choice Award 2014, the European ‘Innovation in Service’ Hospitality Award 2013, highly commended for “The Best Service Award” 2013 by the Tattler Spa Awards and Condé Nast Readers’ Award 2013. This lovingly restored castle hotel in Ireland blends its historic past with a dash of contemporary elegance and is the only five star hotel in County Donegal.

After your breakfast in the castle today you will meet with your driver/guide for a full day adventure to explore this remarkable region in depth. You will depart your hotel this morning and travel via the town of Killybegs which is Ireland’s premier fishing port. The journey takes you along some of the most stunning coastal scenery in Ireland, along Donegal Bay, one of the most scenic routes of the Wild Atlantic Way, via Kilcar to Europe’s highest sea cliffs, Slieve League with stunning views that must be seen. There will also be time to walk and enjoy the sights from the top. Afterwards you will travel to the small village of Glencolmcille. This part of Donegal is a Gaeltacht (Irish speaking area) Irish is the first language, your driver/guide will have already taught you a cúpla focal, and you will get to put your new linguistic skills to the test with some conversation as Gaeilge with local people. In the afternoon you will travel via the traditional town of Ardara. We also include a stop to see a hand weaving demonstration and in the mid-afternoon it’s onto a Real Irish Pub for an optional pint of the black stuff (or maybe a dram of Bushmills) perhaps along with a selection of locally caught seafood. In late afternoon, return to your hotel where the remainder of the evening is free to relax and enjoy the castle.

After breakfast today you will check out of the castle and meet your driver/guide, the journey today takes you to a smallholding, a traditional Irish farm located in Co Mayo, the county that was most devastated by the great hunger less than 160 years ago. Here you will welcomed by Tom Hennigan and his family. This smallholding has been the Hennigan family home for 150 years. In our opinion this is one of the most authentic visitor experiences in Ireland. Tom will recount the story of how life was in famine times in this region of county Mayo and he will talk about the tools used on the land and in the tenant houses, and in the big houses of Ireland of which there were more than 8,000 in 1850. You will take a seat in the Hennigan thatched cottage and see just how people lived at the time and hear stories attached to each and every implement and feature of the small house. The visit here will also include traditional tea and scones. After the visit you will travel back to Dublin with your driver/guide and upon arrival you will check in for a final overnight stay in a deluxe room at The Shelbourne Hotel. Here you will bid farewell to your new friend and you will have the remainder of the day and evening to relax and further explore Dublin’s Fair City
